Common questions

Why does WordHint request website access?

Safari requires permission before an extension can read page text and add hints. WordHint processes that text locally and does not send it to a server.

Why are no hints shown?

Check that the page contains enough English text, website access is allowed, and the selected reading level is below the page vocabulary.

How do I remove hints?

Open WordHint from Safari and choose Hide Word Hints. Reloading the page also restores its original text.
