WordHint is designed to work entirely on your device.
Data collection
WordHint does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking technologies, or user accounts.
Website access
When you grant website access, WordHint reads visible page text only to identify English words and display Chinese meanings. This processing happens locally on your device. Page content and browsing history are not sent to us.
Data stored on your device
Your reading preferences, saved vocabulary, known words, and extension settings are stored locally by Safari. You can remove this data by deleting the app.
Third-party services
WordHint does not integrate third-party services at runtime. Its offline dictionary includes data derived from ECDICT under the MIT License.
